Voltage regulator 1702.3702-02

General information

The voltage regulator 1702.3702-02 has an increased regulation voltage. This modification is designed specifically to comply with the requirements of the energy balance of the car with a large number of consumers and a high level of total energy consumption. It is especially effective in the cold season, when the alternator requires increased voltage to charge the battery, and at the same time the requirement for the battery level increases due to the increased load on it during start-up.

The voltage regulator ensures the optimal charging mode of modern (“calcium” and others) batteries that require an increased charging voltage.

Application: automobiles with carbureted engines VAZ-2108, -09, -10, VAZ-21213 and others with a 37.3701 alternator or its modifications.

The output key of the controller is made using MOSFET technology, as a result of which the power losses generated in the form of heat are sharply reduced, the reliability of the controller is increased. Regulator heating relative to ambient temperature is less than 5°C, which made it possible to provide an accurate characteristic of the thermal compensation of the controlled voltage.

Due to usage of the additional wire, voltage on the alternator is maintained directly on the alternator output terminal. Herewith are reached the highest parameters of the current velocity and load characteristics. The temperature compensation function corrects the voltage level of the alternator depending on the ambient temperature, increasing the charge voltage at low temperatures, and lowering it in hot weather, which ensures optimal operating conditions of the battery and all consumers of electricity, thereby increasing the reliability of all electrical equipment of the car.

The regulator is produced in a single climatic design O2.1 in accordance with GOST 15150 for internal market and for export. On extent of protection against penetration of foreign bodies and water, the item meets design IP57 in accordance with EN 60529. All electrocontact connecting elements of the regulator are made of brass rolling with galvanic cover that guarantees reliability of the electrical connections during all service period. An operating mode of the regulator is S1 in accordance with DSTU GOST 3940.

The regulator is installed directly on the alternator, using standard screws, an additional wire is attached to the standard chain screw "30". It is not recommended to install the voltage regulator 1702.3702-02 on the alternators in the automobiles with the electrical circuit that differs from the typical one. A sign of inconsistency with the switching scheme or type of alternator is a lack of wire length, possible engine operation after the ignition is turned off. It is also not recommended to use this type of regulator in conjunction with battery of old type or with battery that has low level of voltage.

The warranty period of exploitation is 3 years from the date of commissioning or from the date of sale in retail commercial network. The warranty obligations of the manufacturer are valid during four years from the date of the item production. The date of production is marked on the case of the item housing.
