General information:
The multifunctional voltage regulator 8444.3702 is purposed for voltage maintenance of the
onboard vehicle network in predetermined limits in all system operation modes of electrical
equipment at change of the rotation frequency of the alternator rotor, electrical load and
environment temperature.
Applicability: automobiles VAZ-2110, VAZ-2111, VAZ-2112, with the alternator 9402.3701-03,
VAZ-2123 “Chevrolet Niva” with the alternator 9402.3701-04 and others.
The voltage regulator 8444.3702 is the functional analog of the regulator 844.3702
Additional diodes in the rectifier unit are absent, the control of alternator’s start-up and
control of its rotation frequency is made directly on one of the output power control windings.
The regulator 8444.3702 has a reduced and increased voltage indication function of on-board
automobile network and also alternator's low phase voltage. The indication is realized by glowing
of the indicator lamp controlling the battery loading on the instrument cluster. The item ensures
the maintaining of the function of smooth load current build-up. The voltage regulator 8444.3702
has the protection function against short circuit in the output and indicator circuit.
The regulator is produced in a single climatic design О2.1 in accordance with GOST 15150 for
internal market and for export. On protection degree against penetration of foreign bodies and
water, the item meets design IP67 in accordance with GOST 14254. An operating mode of the
regulator is S1 in accordance with GOST 3940.
The regulator is mounted with the help of standard screws directly on the alternator where the
setting of the regulators 844.3702, 845.3702 or 8444.3702 is stipulated.
The warranty period of exploitation is 3 years from the date of commissioning or from the date of
sale in retail commercial network. The warranty obligations of the manufacturer are valid during 4
years from the date of the item production. The date of production is marked on the item housing.
